Distance running has become one of the most powerful ways we bring the Outlier mission to life.
Every starting line brings people together—survivors, families, friends, supporters, and people running in honor or memory of someone they love. Together, we use every mile to raise funds, spread awareness, and remind the brain cancer community that they are not alone.
But running represents something more to us.
A brain cancer diagnosis can come with statistics, expectations, and perceived limitations. Distance running gives us an opportunity to push beyond them—to find out what might still be possible when we keep moving forward.
From marathons to ultramarathons, our community has collectively raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through running alone, turning miles into meaningful support for the brain cancer community.
We run to gather. We run to raise awareness. We run to fund progress.
And we run to remind ourselves and each other that our diagnosis does not get to decide how far we can go.
